AWN problem and Mint Menu

Using Mint 7.0

Having installed AWN I had a problem getting my favourite goodies--Firefox etc installed on the launch bar--dragging from the menu wouldn't work. I Found however that they would 'stick' if I dragged them to the desktop then to AWN--alas,deleting them from the desktop would make them disappear from AWN.

Eventually I tried changing the Mint Menu to the standard Gnome Menu and Bingo,it works like it should!

A bit frustrating because it seemed to work ok in Mint 6.0

As I recall you had to use the Gnome menu to drag and drop into AWN in Felicia also. I know I had to at least. I don't know why this is the case, but it was a known issue for a long time. Not sure that any of that helps you very much, just a bit of info :)

Why not just add the launchers manually from inside the AWN Manager?

If you have to, an easy way is to just copy & paste the command(s) and comment(s) from inside the gnome menu editor app.. pick an icon and you're done.
