Firefox crashing ipv6 & ipv4

I have tried to find an answer on old topics but no luck. Hopefully I've taken the first steps.

FF, Opera and Konquror all crash randomly. Usually shortly after opening. Up until now terminal start has given 'segmentation fault'. This last time I got -

Regarding that last line, I had already followed the tutorial to switch to ipv4 and have grub menu -

According to the release notes, you can disable ipv6 using these instructions: http://www.ubuntu-inside.me/2009/04/how ... aunty.html
