gedit recents

Postby Newmint on Fri Jun 26, 2009 5:46 am

I'd like to make 10-20 recent files for gedit.
My google searches found some things that don't work.
I've got a lot of conf files in ~/.gconf/apps/gedit-2 ..... but they are all empty.

I don't really understand the question, if you have files that are empty, then they are empty, you can't magically fill them with data if you don't know what they would have contained..

[b]gedit>edit>preferences>[b]editor[/]
  • [x]Create a backup copy of files before saving
  • [x]Autosave every [10minutes]

I have 5 recent files showing, I want 20 to show in the gedit open file dropdown.

Press Alt-F2
Type gconf-editor
Go to /apps/gedit-2/preferences/ui/recents
Change the default value from 5 to 20
Please add a [SOLVED] at the end of your original subject header if your question has been answered and solved.
