MintInstall... Ok, but what if there isn't a .mint file?

Postby finndus on Fri Jun 01, 2007 2:08 am

Hi,

first of all...Cassandra ist great, I Love her (Bianca too).

But I'm a little confused 'bout the new software portal and the lack of .mint files. So what do I have to do, when I want to install programs, normally found in the gnome Application Installer (don't know how it is called, but you know what I mean), when the software portal doesn' give me a .mint file for that application?

Thanks inn advance,

Klaus

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

ATM, google and then use synaptic. :? or ask on chat/forums what the app was called that did this sort of thing and looked like...

or wait until it does appear on the software portal.

well you could install the gnome application installer to. :( and then...
