gDesklets installed, but doesn't launch

Postby leke on Sun Jul 12, 2009 2:40 pm

I've just installed gDesklets which appears in the Accessories menu, but it doesn't launch after clicking it.
I opened a terminal ant typed...
leke@leke ~ $ gdesklets
...and got this error...
bash: /usr/bin/gdesklets: /usr/bin/python2.5: bad interpreter: No such file or directory

Wassup with this?

Gdesklets is not working in Mint 7 due to a dependency problem. See these threads:

viewtopic.php?f=47&t=28676&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=gdesklets

viewtopic.php?f=47&t=28703&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=gdesklets

As you can see, the problem is well known and a fix is being worked out. Keep watching the first thread I linked as it is the most likely place for a workaround to be posted.
