KWord doesn't see my Truecrypt folder

I just installed KWord on my Gloria gnome system. But when I go File-Open, my Truecrypt folders are not visible anywhere. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Truecrypt folders appear in my other apps' File-Open dialog boxes.

Other applications like openoffice writer or text or graphics programs ??
Truecrypt has some commentary about current files when installing
