Text editor font size

Postby scarabanza on Sun Jul 19, 2009 2:52 am

I adjusted the system font sizes in Preferences - Appearance to use 9 point text. This seems to have cascaded throughout the system. So far, so good.

The text editor is set to use the 'system default'. For some reason it thinks that the default is a 10 point font. I've altered it in the editors own settings, but was wondering if there was another system wide option that I've missed somewhere?

If you mean gedit it has a setting to "Use the system fixed width font (Monospace10)"
This means that it is set to use 10 and if you change the font this won't change....

Thanks Husse. If I understand rightly, you are saying that gedit has its own default and the settings in Apperance don't effect it.

No problem - I was only wondering after all.
