mintInstall won't open SOLVED

Postby grinby on Mon Jun 04, 2007 9:12 am

I'm loving the new release, but I'm having one problem: I can't get mintInstall to open. When I try it using the terminal, I get the following error message:

/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/apt/__init__.py:18: FutureWarning: apt API not stable yet
warnings.warn("apt API not stable yet", FutureWarning)
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/linuxmint/mintInstall/mintInstall.py", line 407, in <module>
mainwin = mintInstallWindow(sys.argv[1])
IndexError: list index out of range

Any help would be much appreciated.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Welcome to Mint grinby
Mintinstall is supposed to be used with Firefox. Click on the link was intended, but you have to download the mintinstall file and click on it

Many thanks for the help. I'd misunderstood the process and was clicking the "open with mintInstall" option in firefox.

Now I'm enjoying the full mint flavor. (that's got to be an old joke around here)
