Music Recording Trouble

Postby paddywhack on Wed Jul 22, 2009 11:40 am

Im a musician and im having a hard time getting all my programs and hardware set up on lint mint. I have the gloria edition of linux mint and im using a dell inspiron 1420 laptop,AND a tascam us-122 interface. I got the driver for the interface and i got it to work with wine and audacity recognizes it. But my problem is that my microphone jack(pink jack) doesnt recognize the cable(from the interface) that makes the microphones record inline. So when i record which ever side of the interface i hook the mic to it only records on that side. Do i need a driver or is it a more complicated problem??

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

This is outside my knowledge and frankly I don't quite understand what you do with the mic
However to use wine in conjunction with sound is no good - the delays you get can be detrimental
Sorry you have been waiting so long for an answer but obviously no one has wanted to answer and my working hours lately have been hard on me

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
