How to play component video?

my computer has a component input that i used to play my ps3 on windows, and im wondering what apps are there that i can use to use my component inputs along with the TV cable input.

More context is needed, how do you connect to the PS3, which windows app do you use
--perhaps there will be a Linux equivalent
Not a software problem...
--it is only the hardware connections you would need, in this case separate cables/wires for component (separating the video/audio signals)

For software apps, any media player that can see/use your source material..

I used windows media center edition so i could just switch to my ps3 components plugged into the back of the pc. i tried xawt but it is horrible and outdated
