The ubuntu software sources app

Postby theevilone6620 on Sun Jul 26, 2009 2:34 am

I just got done installing the ubuntu Software Sources app into my Mint install. I find it to be more user friendly than the synaptic package manager when it comes to adding repos or what not. I also noticed that in the Gnome-App_Installer which i installed today too. There is a whole lot of apps I havent been able to find using the Mint installer.

Might be a good idea to include these in a default Mint Install in the future, or at least allow someone the choice during installation to pick.

Anyways, my question is this, how can I find out where GnomeAppInstaller installed to so I can create a launcher for it?

Also after installing the software sources app, I have a icon to launch it but when I click it a tab pops up in the panel and then disapeears and it never launches. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.
