can't display downloaded and burnt cd

Postby biffer on Tue Aug 04, 2009 5:53 pm

Hi,

I've just downloaded and burnt a Grub.iso CD. The checksum said all is well. I used Brasero disc burner but when I try to open the CD I get:

Could not display 'media cdromO/. file is of unknown origin. Clicking further got me 'application/octet-stream' which tells me nothing.

Have I done something wrong, please?

You may have burned the ISO as a data file rather than an image?

Hell, I can be stupid when I'm tired. I mixed up one thing with another. The grub.iso is a bootable cd which does boot okay (though I haven't figured out what to do with it once it has shown up on screen). It's the other cd I burnt wrongly and that's easily fixed.

Sorry I bothered you.
