Java install

Hi,
I must be install Java, and I download install file on the Java.com. How I can open *.bin file? .bin file is in my Desktop.

Sry bad english :)

Java is already installed in Linux Mint. You don't need to install it again.

If you are running Mint 7 then it has Sun Java 6 I don't think there is anything more up to date than that.

That is one of the reasons Mint is so good.

You should be able to go into the Synaptic Package Manager or mintIntall . . . do a search for Java, and either install, update or upgrade it.

It's already installed, but why that didn't work? Flash had same problem, but I install other version in the Flash site.
