When I start Beryl, I cannot get any of the window decoration themes to work. My windows just maximize to fill the screen with no window border at all. Does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks.
I had this problem once and it turned out if I changed the color depth to 24 then it worked. I don't know if that's the problem but I might try that, be sure to back up your xorg.conf file first though. In the xorg.conf file it's under
Section "Screen"
Defaultdepth 24
if the above does not work, start beryl-manager, right click on the beryl icon, and select advanced beryl options->rendering path->copy. Sometimes helps.
Thanks flashmann. Your idea worked. Now I just have to add that line on my laptop as well. Where did you find that solution? Is that on the Beryl site?
