Latest Firefox Update BooBoo

mintUpdate informed me of an update to firefox this morning to version:
3.0.14+build2+nobinonly-1mint1-0ubuntu0.9.04.1.

After installation when I restarted firefox I received this error message:

Almost invisible upon my dark blue background was an icon of a perfectly vertical little pencil and a terminal icon labeled "firefox" on bottom panel. If you right click the panel icon and select close - then start firefox everything returns to normal.
There may be a BooBoo in the install script or maybe I didn't wait long enough before restarting.

In terminal, check

--using only the repository updates for Linux Mint 7 (gloria) 32bit main edition

OK, I just did the update from synaptic, I'll check what happens
In terminal, check (updates..)

Checked after Firefox update
--during the update it interfered with the installed version, difficult to just close the running firefox, not responsive

I Closed it (running Firefox), and decided to reboot just to be sure
--Firefox updated version started normally, and is now at 3.0.14; everything appears normal
