can't get amarok to import itunes database....:/

hey guys. so i'm a newbie to linux!^_^ haha so far mint is amazing!! i finally found a good audio program that i can sync my ipod with but i have an issue. when i try to import collections using amarok i get an issue saying "Unable to import statistics" when i try to import my itunes database .xml file..... i recently upgraded to the new itunes before getting linux.. so i don't know if that's making amarok freak out.. or what. but i tried uninstalling & reinstalling amarok and no dice.... help would be much appreciated! thanks guys!^_^
