Music player with Shift-Jis tags

Hello,
I am using RythmBox, I've tried amarok and another one I don't remember (sorry) and all of them have trouble to read japanese tags from the mp3 and even the japanese name of the folder.
Do you know a software that would work properly? I have a lot of japanese songs and that's not very convenient to see some sqaures or strange symbols instead of the name ... ^_^;

I hope someone can help me.

I think exaile is the Gnome equivalence to Amarok for KDE

You probably need some system font support or adding a keyboard layout to allow other character sets (UTF) , enables international and Asian characters, so it might be USA keyboard USA-utf as a layout selection

The language support is already installed (I live in japan so I really need it) and still it didn't work.
I will try with Exaile as you proposed and will come back later :wink:

Unfortunately Exaile behaves the same way as RhytmBox ...
Isn't there any that accepts Shift-JIS tags?

Well, no luck with those too ...
I also tried Banshee and it also didn't work ...

I can't believe there isn't a player that detects the encoding automatically and treats the tags properly ... :(
