Firefox home url is invalid after the installation

Postby ngbrito on Sun Jul 01, 2007 9:55 am

Hi,

I'm a newbie to Linux Mint (and more or less to Linux in general) so I don't know if this is the correct forum to be checking this:

I have just installed Linux Mint 3.0 (Cassandra) and when I launch Firefox it shows the "File not found" error page because the home url is set to "file:///usr/share/ubuntu-artwork/home/index.html" which doesn't exist on my machine.

To me, this seems to be a bug in the installation of Firefox and although it is nothing serious, it is ugly and undermines the user's confidence on the OS.

Should I report this (where?) or is it already known?

Thank you

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

this is known. can't seem to find the forum where it was discussed, but, just set your homepage to file:///usr/share/linuxmint/releasenotes/cassandra.html and it will go away.

I think that you meant file:///usr/share/linuxmint/releasenotes/index.htmlbecause cassandra.html doesn't exist in that directory.

Thanks
