Compiz Cube Question (Solved)

Post by ers1121 »

This is not a major issue but if I can find the solution I will be very happy. I did an inplace upgrade from Mint 7 to Mint 8 last night. It took a long time but almost everything works perfectly. The one thing I am having a problem with is the Compiz Cube. The rotating cube was disabled during the upgrade. I did get it to work again without much trouble but I still have one problem, i used to be able to rotate the cube with the wheel on the mouse, it would only rotate if the cursor was on an unoccupied part of the desktop, if it was on an active window it would scroll the window like it should. Now no matter where you place the cursor the desktop rotates. I check all of the settings for the mouse that I could see, but have found nothing that seem to control this. Any suggestions?

Click on "Viewport Switcher" In CompizConfig Manager (under Desktop category)
Click on the "Desktop-based Viewport Switching" tab (3rd tab)
Change "Move Next" to Button5
Change "Move Prev" to Button4

Hope it helps.
