Every time I leave this machine alone for a few minutes I come back to a blank screen. Powersaver? Hibernation? I have the Screensaver turned off so how do I keep it awake?

Re: Next question.
Besides having to re-set the Screen-saver ... there is, also, the Power Manager / Energy Saver
My history with this was: I had reset the screen-saver to start after 30 minutes of 'idle'-time ... but the comp would go to the 'black screen after about 5 minutes?
Someone told me about the Power Manager and I checked ... yup, it was set to power-down after 5 minutes of 'idle'
I use the Mint-Xfce desktop, but I'm sure that Mint Main (Gnome) and Mint (KDE) have the same option? You'd have to look for them, in either, Preferences or Administration.

Re: Next question.
Thank you, I found it in the Preferences. By the way, this is so much nicer than the Windows forums I used to frequent. There I was always talked to like I was stupid for not already knowing where to go to get stuff done.
