Linux Mint 8, codename "Helena"

No mickcrophone audio or Blast from sending Gizmo5 to receiving Gizmo5.

Microphone and headset are good . . . have tried 3 other headsets with no joy.

Installed with Synaptic.

Gizmo5 rings on connect (internally generated) . No audio from Blast or microphone input heard on receiving Gizmo5.

No speaker audio with ALSA as evidenced with no sound after Gizmo5 system connect.

Hear system connect tone with OSS but no microphone or Blast audio is received.

Sound chip VIA 8235 (if I remember correctly).

What should I do?

You could start by rewriting this so it is possible to understand - most forum members have never used or even heard of Gizmo5
So please describe what you have done and what does not work and what works

I think you should change your email address in the forum - it's not accepted by the ISP
