How Change Desktop Icon Size (Helena) - RESOLVED

Is there any way to change the size of all the desktop icons? I realize I can right click on each one and select "stretch" and shove the corner in, but not only will that result in each icon being a slightly different size; it is a bunch of work!

Changing the icon size in mint menu by right clicking the start button>etc, etc works for that, but what about the desktop icons?

Thank you,

krt

Welcome to Linux Mint!

Menu -> Desktop -> Edit Preferences -> Icon View Defaults

change the 100% value to something smaller 66% or 33%. Speaking of icons, the Firfox update to 3.5.7 probably messed up the Firefox icon. You will find it under /usr/lib/firefox-3.5.7/icons.

Menu -> Desktop -> Edit> Preferences -> Icon View Defaults
This worked perfectly. Thank you!

I have had no success with right clicking the desktop; I did this before posting because I saw this in another thread, and there is no "personalize" either there or from the start button that I can find since I do not see any "settings" listed there. And selecting "preferences" from the main menu does get me there either . . .

Oddly altho the updater told me it was going to Firefox 3.7, having done it, it is still 3.6. Also, the repositories do not seem to have gone to Thunderbird 3.x, but are wisely sticking to the 2.x series (2.0.23) for now; the Mozilla forums are full of complaints from people (like me!) who do not like the 3.x "improved" version.

Thanks again guys,

krt

Edit: I updated Firefox above with the "updater". And when I looked in Synaptic, it "said" 3.7 was installed, but just out of curiosity, I tried reinstalling with Synaptic, and now Firefox is ver. 3.7 :?
