That's all it took for me to get it running. WINE v.1.1.34 couldn't get it running, nor could 1.1.32.
EDIT: To elaborate - if you don't already have WINE 1.1.33, uninstall the version you have, and then download 1.1.33, both the wine .deb and the -dev .deb, from here
. Install both. Remove WINE from mintUpdate. Then download and install PlayOnLinux, insert the Oblivion CD, and use PlayOnLinux to install Oblivion.
