Printscreen

Postby chiefjim on Mon Jan 11, 2010 9:16 pm

Is there a way to get printscreen to allow region copying? I've grown accustomed to that feature when using KDE 3.5. I see KSNAPSHOT in the repository but that is KDE4.

Alt-Print Screen will grab a window though if you want something more complex I'd install KSnapshot. You can still install it in Gnome even though it's a KDE application.

You could give Shutter a try: GTK graphical tool.

If you use this app, post back on how well it works or if you like it for other Gnome users to see. **Might be useful for someone else in the future.

KSnapshot should run as well as long as any needed KDE dependencies are met, like"kdelibs4c2a" or sorts, in order for it to work.

Use apt or your package manager in that case.
