Ettercap

Postby MintyFre$h on Sat Jan 16, 2010 5:14 pm

I searched the forums, and I didn't find anything pertaining to my question at hand, so I started this thread.

I'm a Linux Mint 8 user, and I have interest in installing ettercap, but I looked in the software manager and searched for it and it didn't come up. Then I tried to do:

sudo apt-get install ettercap (Terminal)

it said it installed , but then I looked in my programs, it wasn't there!

then I did:

sudo ettercap

and it said "select a User Interface" and then I didn't know what to do. Especially since ettercap isn't a terminal application.

Seeing as I have defeated all possible options including Google, I figured I would come here to see if anyone had a solution.

I would appreciate the help.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

ettercap is a terminal based program. make sure ettercap-gtk in installed.
You need to do what it says, choose a user interface, if you want a graphical one
Code: Select all
sudo ettercap-gtk -G
