Flash gpu acceleration?

I have a 9400gt and want to make use of the flash10.1 gpu acceleration beta....

I installed the 195.xx driver and have installed flash 10.1 beta (4 i think).

it seems that i still cannot properly accelerate 720 p video from youtube :(

anyone have any idea whether a 9400gt is adequate for 720p youtube video? or whether i'm missing something here ;)

Adobe has not yet enabled GPU excelleration in the Linux version of Flash. Only the Windows version got it in 10.1.

Okay I just read that *h.264acceleration* hasn't been supported in Linux yet....


There is limited gpu acceleration I think in Linux, just not h.264. Apparently adobe thinks there is not a suitable API undr linux.... Which annoys me :p I think vdpau is quite nice.

Thanks for the response. Can't wait till there is mote gpu computing support in Linux :)
