hoe to convert avi & wmv to flv on mint 3?

I know theres something with ffmpeg.... or something like that,
but is there a software? something easy like microsoft movie maker?

It is Kde though, but I just installed it from source, ffmpeg is very good, but as you say you will need command line.

I would persist with ffmpeg

"./ffmpeg -i abc.mpg xyz.flv" is not too bad as a command line, make sure you have the latest ffmpeg from the svn repository
