Can I get a scrollbar on the left in Firefox?[SOLVED]

I'm running Mint 8 main edition and Firefox 3.5.8
For some tasks I would find it a real help to have a scrollbar down the left-hand side of the page to use instead of the one on the right.
Anyone know if there's a way to add an extra one?
I've Googled and searched the forums but drew a blank.

It's actually really easy to move the scrollbar to the left. I'm not sure if it's possible to have two (I have a feeing it isn't).

To move it to the left simply go to about:config, find layout.scrollbar.side and change the value to 3. Reset the browser and you're good to go.

Yes it does sound simple.
I'm sure it will be,but I can't find the about:config file anywhere(I've run a file search over my entire system)
Any further ideas about where it could be lurking much appreciated.

What he meant was:

Type about:config in the address bar, then you type layout.scrollbar.side when you get to the "about:config" page, then change the value.

Yes,I think he did - but despite having used Firefox for around 4 years I had no idea you could type anything other than URL's in the address bar.
Another huge hole in my knowledge filled....
