Linux web proxy

Post by Amos »

Hi all,

just a quick question really, I am on mint 8 and its all working fine now no problems at all, there is 1 problem its to do with the digital going through house of lords, its to do with section 17 which has now been replaced with a new amendment, in short the new amendment would give the UK courts powers to block websites, my question is is there any way say a website got blocked I could bypass the site being blocked by my ISP I had a quick search and it came up for web proxies and VPN.

the article here for anyone who is interested

Why worry about something that hasn't happened yet? Personally I can't see it becoming law and even if it ever did there be so many work-arounds and legal challenges it would be pretty pointless.
[Edit] your original post and add [SOLVED] once your question is resolved.

I am watching this from a distance, always better to be prepared for something that will most probably happen within this year
