Linux Mint Menu -> All Applications -> Accessories -> Disk Usage Analyzer
In the program, press the scan filesystem button, the program will start checking what it is that takes up all the space.
When it's done you can see the result in a simple tree structure that shows in many levels exactly what takes up what.
