I just installed OpenShot and am pleased with it. Here are some questions relating to this application:
1. When using the inkscape advanced title editor, how exactly does one insert the adjusted text: now I am getting a box but no text, as if the title box is default.
2. Can OpenShot capture, like Kino? If not, then is there a simple and fast way to capture without opening another editing app?
3. Can the date time metadata be burned into the output, as in Kino?
and finally,
... are we never going to have a solution to including metadata from flash movies, only from miniDV tapes? Although this hardly applies to OpenShot if question 3 is not addressed, it will become an issue in the future when miniDV is phased out and some of us need to have date time on our edited movie. Isn't date time included somewhere on the digital file?

Re: OpenShot Video Editor
Played around with Inkscape and found that text and object box can be customized, and when saved become title. Title clip is then simply dragged into movie as layer. It's (Inkscape) actually very powerful as title editor.. now just to find out how to make title into metadata!albert wrote:I just installed OpenShot and am pleased with it.
