Best way to install OpenOffice 2.3 in Mint?

Any suggestions on the best way to install Open Office 2.3 in Mint? I downloaded the debs build but can't get it to install, for the most part cause I'm sure I'm not going about it correctly. What command do you use to install a package that consists of deb files? RPMS I know, debs I don't.

Remembered how to get it install.

2.3 snapshot is totally useless in Mint, not sure about other Linuxes. Keeps crashing. Reverting back to 2.2.x.
