Firefox 3.6.3 and Java

Post by SeanBest »

So I added the Mozilla team STABLE build of Firefox the source list as listed in several posts here on the forums. Updated fine. Now Java doesn't work. I found several people with the similar issue, but no really answers that anyone seemed to get to work. I read that I need to copy some file from the Java lib folder to the Firefox plugins folder. Tried that, but there are lib and lib64 and that file is located in SEVERAL Java folders. I copied them and opened Firefox and it said under plugins Java update 15 (included in Mint, never changed), but when I do anything with Java Firefox crashes.

Really like 3.6 better than 3.5.

Also wanted to update Java to update 20 (if it's not worth it let me know), but have no idea how to and the guides online really suck.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!
