libstdc++ 5 in Mint 8?

Post by VolumetricSteve »

Hello, I'm trying to run a program that tells me:

Code: Select all

./q3map2.x86: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I looked on another forum for answers, one person told me to create a system link from 5 to 6 which didn't seem to fix the problem, I get the exact same error message now. How can I fix this? I hear there are RPM packages the fix this for some Fedora users but I don't see any Debian/Mint ones.
