How do I disable the fortune in the terminal? Sure, it's cute and all, but for some reason it gets on my nerves.
BTW, Linux Mint is really slick.

Nice. Thanks. I searched for fortune, but apparently not in the right place.
Again, Mint is working great on my Dell 700m laptop. Everything* just worked including connecting to my WPA wireless setup.
(* well, almost everything. If I could just get my SD card reader working, then I would be in Linux bliss. No more having to find my USB cable to transfer photos from my camera!)
