compiz fusion problem

Postby splpayet on Thu Aug 23, 2007 10:03 am

hi,

i followed the guide http://linuxmint.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3585 to install Compiz Fusion. It worked fine for a while. but then i restarted X server and it didnt work. i restarted the PC and i tried to use compiz from the terminal like the guide said but i got this error in the terminal.

i used the command "compiz --replace" but got the error as below

/usr/bin/compiz.real: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/compiz/libdecoration.so: undefined symbol: decor_apply_gravity

can anyone help please?

Instead of doing this command in a terminal you might try pressing Alt+F2.

You might want to change the source repo as it is not updated anymore. More information on: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=481314

If you have nvidia graphics try running the following in terminal. Code:
sudo nvidia-xconfig --add-argb-glx-visuals
Then restart X.
Note: I use a script file to turn compiz on and off; more about that here: http://www.linuxmint.com/forum/viewtopi ... 5&start=15
