[SOLVED] Open launcher in other browser then default

Post by DeaQz »

When I try to make a launcher I can't specify to open the link in a other browser then the default one. Example: My default browser is Opera. Some websites I use don't display very well in Opera so I like to use them in Firefox. So I make a starter from my desktop to open the website directly in FF. I did this:

Type
Name

Command - after command i typed the url and firefox firefox %u. I know this didnt work but I tried many different things and i couldnt find any answer on Google. (Try starter in linux or anything similar... )

You might want to look at Prism.

From the Prism thumbnail sketch in Package Manager
Prism, previously called WebRunner, is a simple XULRunner based browser that
hosts web applications without the normal web browser user interface. It is
based on a concept called Site Specific Browsers (SSB).

XULRunner is a single "gecko runtime" that can be used to bootstrap
multiple XUL + XPCOM applications that are as rich as Firefox and
Thunderbird.
To clarify, Prism places launchers on your desktop for specific websites. You just click on the icon and the browser is launched already displaying the selected website.

Just open Package Manager (or Software Manager in Mint 9) and search for "prism"
