Saving Linux Mint Settings to USB Drive

Postby qfunk on Wed May 19, 2010 12:40 pm

I'm using linux mint in live cd mode these days, as I don't have much free disk space available, and don't know when (or if) I'm getting a new hard disk (the current disk shows errors in mint live cd).

So I was hopeing if anyone here can guide me as to how can I save settings of wired network and firefox bookmarks , installed apps etc... to a USB pen/flash drive.

I have a 4 gb sandisk cruzer USB flash drive on which I tried installing lnux mint 8 USB boot from some linux pen drive site. I couldn't boot it so gave up... am only running from live cd and since it doesn't save settings etc, so I'm asking here.

How can I save wired network settings, firefox bookmarks, and any installed game (about which I've asked below) ... to a USB pen drive.

About the game, I wanted to ask if anyone knows of any game that can run on live cd and is available for download online.
