Being a musician I use in Windows XP Coda Finale, a great professional program, when I want copy or write music.
I wish to know if it exists for Linux a program like it.

It's for classical music: orchestra, chamber music etc… no rock

checkout the ubuntustudio.org distro.
it has great music apps.
you may find what you want there and just install it off synaptic.

Thanks Boo. I will test Rosegarden when I would have a little more time, I thought that it did not write partitions, scores... Shame on me!

My friend got Finale working in wine, he just had to go into the audio section of winecfg and change Hardware Acceleration to Emulation, and check the Driver Emulation box..
I think it did crash every once in a while, though
