[SOLVED]Download YouTube Videos
I have already searched google and tried all of the online video converters. I use chrome so there is no plugin. I want to download a video to .mp4 if possible but will convert if needed. Im using mint 9, gnome, chrome...forgive me if i left anything out...any ideas??

Thanks SiKing but that is for converting the files once you have them correct? I need a way to download them using the chrome browser. Thanks again!

Hi,
Part of the problem is that you must put the file in the same directory as where you execute the command,
or as root, put it somewhere on the path; such as, /usr/local/bin and then execute.
The second problem is that it doesn't seem to work anymore. Back to the drawing board.

For the few Youtube videos I have downloaded lately, this one has worked for me, and it is fairly easy to remember:

it ask you what format you want to download your youtube video :mp4 or flv
and you can download only the sound from a youtube video as mp3.
