I have installed Vbox 3.2 from Suns repos and am having problems starting it up under 32 bit Mint9 gnome. I installed the build-essentials package, then Vbox. Everything installed apparently correctly but when I go to start it I get the following error:
Failed to create the VirtualBox COM object.
The application will now terminate.
Details:
Callee RC:
NS_ERROR_FACTORY_NOT_REGISTERED (0x80040154)
I am having trouble working out what this means, any ideas?

Thanks, the first link sorted it. Specifically "Try deleting /tmp/.vbox-*."
