Kmymoney column width

Post by chiefjim »

I'm using Kmymoney under Gnome. Application works perfectly. One item I'd like to adjust is the column width in ledger view.

I use an online banking service and the "check numbers" have more characters than the current width can handle. Trying to find a way to change the default settings. As with many spreadsheets placing the cursor at the top of the column changes the symbol to adjust width but the columns appear locked.

Can this even be done?

I don't think that can be done, no. It will auto resize up to 10 characters, but no more.

Aren't there a few zeros you could you could knock off the beginning or end of the number once you have imported them, or have you really written more than 9999999999 checks!!!

Wish it were that easy. My service replaces a typical running check serial number with a transaction code. Something that looks like AB3C4-5D78J. Adjusting to a smaller font just reduces the overall size of the cell.
