12.22 after-update problems

Post by lord »

Hi,

Tonight around 1 am I did a standard update with sudo apt-get upgrade in the terminal, after that I turned off my laptop. Now my mint 10_64 cant fully boot. It starts gnome, loads desktop but neither mouse or keyboard are working. Moreover I think it switched my keyboard layout to US from Polish and somehow sound is muted in the notification area. That is all that auto-starts, fusion-icon does not for instance.

So I get somehow loaded gnome session but mouse and keyboard doesnt work, even ctl+alt+bckspace or ctrl+F1/FX. In the recovery mode system doesnt start at all so I cant even undo my last update changes. I blame it on some broken packages from the last set of updates. My laptop is samsung x360 and my repos are mostly default - no weird packages or unstable updates for system.

Any Ideas how to get it working again? :)

Cheers...
