[SOLVED]Preferred applications
Google Chrome browser is set as my preferred program in the control center. Now every time after a reboot when I start Chrome, it says it is not set as the default browser. I switch it, but it doesn't stick. Any ideas as to how to correct this?

Re: Preferred applications
Try editing the defaults
You will need to change the lines that look like
Code: Select all
gksudo gedit /etc/gnome/defaults.list
Code: Select all
application/xhtml+xml=firefox.desktop
text/html=firefox.desktop
text/xml=firefox.desktop
Re: Preferred applications
This is how each was set up:
application/xhtml+xml=epiphany.desktop
text/html=epiphany.desktop
text/xml=gedit.desktop
I changed it to look like:
application/xhtml+xml=chrome.desktop
text/html=chrome.desktop
text/xml=chrome.desktop
Is that correct?
application/xhtml+xml=epiphany.desktop
text/html=epiphany.desktop
text/xml=gedit.desktop
I changed it to look like:
application/xhtml+xml=chrome.desktop
text/html=chrome.desktop
text/xml=chrome.desktop
Is that correct?
Re: Preferred applications
