youtube and/or flash and/or fullscreen

Post by Habitual »

Here's something to make you go "huh?"...

I could not get any vids to play fullscreen AT ALL on any video.
Sound would play but the vid froze.

Well, if someone else having similar issues could confirm this procedure, maybe everyone else with the same issue could benefit...
Go into Firefox tools menu, plugins "tab" and disable DIVx.
Restart firefox and go to youtube.com.

Pick a video, make sure it doesn't auto-play, select your desired res and hit the full screen button, then play.

Lemme know...

Wow, I am shocked.

I don't use Chrome, but doesn't that also use Firefox extensions?

No, Chrome uses its own set of extensions. However, Chromium does share the same Flash plugin with Firefox. Chrome has its own flash installed by default.
