I am trying out Linux Mint 10 (been using 8 with great success) and my taskbar does not show my open apps. Can anyone give me the fix for this please?
With some more poking around I found the answer:
Right-clicking on the taskbar - "+Add to Panel", selecting "Window List".

AFAIK even without your trick, you should change apps' windows by Alt + Tab keys...
