Im having issues with selected online poker software in particular all the Merge Gaming sites. I download the program and install using wine but after program runs its displayed upside down and closes. Any idea why?

Never heard of Merge. I can only vouch for Pokerstars. Works perfectly with Wine.

Haven't heard of Merge Gaming sites either, but I have manage to get Wine working with some poker clients. I found a great guide through LinuxConfige:
