Hello
K3b does not erase dvd+rw media in my mint 10 32 bits system. I get this messsage "Could not unmount the device because one or more files are open". Even though there is no open file this message appears insists. How can I solve this problem?

some things you can try. you can close k3b put the DVD in and reopen it. What I would do as a work around is use brasero for blanking ir is my first suggestion does not work.....hope this helped

Brasero erases the media but I use k3b to burn my media and I like use it to erase my media too. When I want burn new data in my dvd+rw k3b asks if I want to delete data from the media to continue to write, I answer "yes" but k3b does not erase the media and shows the error message I quoted above.

How I set cdrecord and mkisofs as default programs? CD-RW is erased but DVD+RW not. "Set default" button is disabled in my k3b.itsme4401 wrote:Last posted answer of this topic perhaps? http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=61905
