How to open the MintMenu on a keyboard without windows key?

Post by BrunoMiranda »

Greetings!

I have an Intel Classmate (900hz Celeron) that has no Windows's key, and i'd like to know if there is any way to open the MintMenu with the keyboard.
When on Microsoft Windows, i press the CTRL + Esc shortcut do open the Windows' menu... But it doesn't work on any version of Mint, and i've used a few...

Isn't this key on Mint called the Super key, or am i wrong?
Any help?

Thanx,
Bruno

If you right-click on your panel's start button icon, there's preferences where you can bind a different key.

Right mouse click MintMenu > Preferences > Keyboard shortcut >

Code: Select all

<Control>Escape
will use those 2 keys.

First of all, i owe you guys an apology for replying this late to your kind help replies.
Well. the <Control>Escape shortcut doesn't work...
But i'm using this installation of Mint 9 very seldomly, since i'm using a very slow nettop and this version of mint is perfect the way i want, but... too damn slow... So i'm going to back it up and try XFCE that seems to be faster.

Either way, thank you very much,
Bruno
