MultiSystem problem (multiboot software) [SOLVED]

Post by nono »

Hello,

MultiSystem is a software to create a Linux OS multiboot flashdrives.

I have installed it on Mint 9 LTS.
The problem is the recognition of the usb flash drives. MultiSystem cannot recognize any of my 3 flash drives.
It asks if I have connected the flash drive.

What can I do to fix this? I really want to make a multiboot flash drive with different distros ready for testing or installation.

Multisystem requires the drive to be mounted before it will recognize it. Try removing and reinstalling the drive then restarting Multisystem.

Multisystem also requires a new flash drive to be formatted to fat32 as a single labelled partition. If this is not the case it will reformat the drive.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I have fixed the problem.
What I did is I tested it using Ubuntu Lucid.
MultiSystem recognized the flash drive and right now I am loading Linux on my flash drive.

It's weird, it works perfectly on Ubuntu, maybe MultiSystem really is dependent on Ubuntu (I read this somewhere).

It should work in Mint. I use it all the time in Mint and LMDE.

Maybe the problem is with my Mint install. Thank you.
